Contact Centre headset recommendations

Contact Centre headset recommendations

Selecting the right headset is crucial for agents to have clear customer conversations. It helps minimise background noise, whether you’re working from home with kids around or in an office with coworkers nearby.

A good headset ensures better communication and a more professional experience for you and the customer. We recommend the following when deciding which headset type is best for your agents.

We’ve compiled a list of headset recommendations  and some of our favourite ones below.

  • Noise-cancelling earphones: This will help reduce the noise in the background environment so agents can hear the customer clearly without any distractions.
  • Noise-cancelling microphone: This will help reduce the background noise that the customer might hear on the phone when taking calls in a home or office environment.
  • Comfort: The headset must be comfortable for the agent to wear, especially for extended periods on the phone when it’s busy. Look for a nice headset with good padding around the ear.
  • Compatibility: Most dedicated headsets are now advertised as compatible with Zoom and other platforms. While not necessary, it’s good to check to make sure the headset is compatible with these types of online platforms.
  • Stereo-type headsets: We recommend headsets that have two earphones instead of one. A monaural (single earphone headset) can cause distraction and sometimes discomfort on the head for an agent.
